Factors Influencing the Development of Ecotourism in Thoi Son Islet, Tien Giang Province

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing the development of ecotourism in Thoi Son Islet, Tien Giang Province, through a combination of secondary and primary data (collected via field surveys and structured questionnaire interviews). The research aims to identify the key factor groups affecting ecotourism development in the area. The findings reveal nine main influencing factors: tourism resources, infrastructure and technical facilities, human resources, local cuisine, service pricing, safety and security, tourism promotion and marketing, and environmental awareness. Based on these results, the paper proposes practical solutions to improve the quality and sustainability of ecotourism activities in Thoi Son Islet. The outcomes of the study are expected to assist local authorities, communities, businesses, and policymakers in formulating appropriate tourism development strategies tailored to the local context.
